"Everyone who asks receives, and everyone who seeks finds, and everyone who knocks the door will be opened."

Luke 11:10

Amen!

This is a verse easily quoted both inside and outside the church.

What is the Lord telling us to ask for, seek, and knock on?

Ask! Seek! Knock!

We can feel the Lord leading us gradually and deeply.

"Ask" is the primary act of asking with the mouth.

"Seek" is concrete immersion, thinking earnestly and making plans toward the purpose of seeking.

"Knock" is the active activity of making contact and attempting toward that purpose.

For what purpose are we told to perform these three actions?

Our Lord speaks in verse 13!

Ask for the Holy Spirit!

Seek the Holy Spirit!

Knock on the Holy Spirit!  It is a promise that if we do this, God the Father will pour out the Holy Spirit precisely upon His children and, furthermore, enrich our lives.

A: ask the Holy Spirit

S: seek the Holy Spirit

K: knock to the Holy Spirit
