When Simon Peter saw it, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me, I am a sinful man, O Lord!"
Luke 5:8
Amen!
Peter the fisherman meets Jesus while exhausted from trying to catch fish all night with empty nets.
He says, "Cast your nets into the deep."
Peter replies, "Teacher, I cast my nets all night and caught nothing, but I will cast them again at your word."
And when he cast them, he caught many fish and confesses through the words of today's text.
It was a miraculous event for Peter.
However, Peter did not see the miracle visible before his eyes, but saw the true nature of Jesus.
"How can a sinner like me be with Your holiness and goodness?
You are the LORD God!"
This is his confession.
He truly looked into his own sin.
And he bowed down and surrendered.
Miraculous things happen in our lives as well.
When that happens, if we only look at what has happened, we make to be reduced Jesus as a Genie's magic lamp.
This morning, I earnestly desire spiritual eyes to see the Lord's intentions and purposes through the miracles He has performed!
✝️👏
Expect great things from His will!

Amen!
