Amen!

Why does Jesus say that the yoke He places is easy, and the burden He gives is light?

Is your lives actually easy, my friend, and is the weight of your lives light?

I expressed the yoke as "lives".

Then, what is the meaning of the "yoke" spoken of in the Bible?

A yoke is literally something placed on my back.

In verse 29, Jesus says, "Take up my yoke and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul."

Is the yoke on my back of the world?

Or is it that of Christ Jesus?

It means that if Jesus Christ is the Master of my lives, it is easy and light.

Because He loved us and bore all the shameful sins of the world alone, even to the point of death.

The one who has learned from the Lord (the learned) lives the life of Christ and will live the life of a heavenly scholar, just as prophesied in Isaiah 50:4. So I hear this as the Lord's word that we find rest because our hearts, minds, and thoughts are at peace, making life neither difficult nor heavy.
