Isaiah 37:17 / 07-27-26

"Incline Your ear,

O LORD, and hear. Open Your eyes,

O LORD, and see; and hear all the words of Sennacherib, which he has sent to reproach the living God.

Isaiah 37:17

오 여호와여 귀를 기울여 들으시옵소서,

오 여호와여 눈을 들어 보시옵소서,

살아계신 하나님을 훼방하려고 보낸 산헤립의 모든 말을 들으시옵소서.

이사야 37:17

히스기야왕 때에 앗수르 지금의 시리아가 유다를 점령하려 하는 때입니다.

살아서 역사하시는 창조주 하나님을 모욕하며 하나님의 백성들이 여호와를 믿지 못하도록 이간질합니다.

이 때에 이사야 선지자가 하나님의 전능하심을 찬양하며, 악인들의 거짖과 모욕을 들시고 하나님께서 심판해 주실 것을 기도합니다.

믿음의 여정을 가는 우리에게도 사단은 하나님과 우리 사이를 여러 모양으로 이간질을 합니다.

내 경우에는 청 소년 때에, "너는 하나님의 자녀가 아닐 수도 있어!"라는 마귀의 숙삭임에 시달렸던 경험이 있었습니다.

그 때 나는 너무도 괴로워서

내가 오히려 기독교인이 아니었으면 좋으련만...

나의 정체성을 흔들고 멸망시켜 마귀의 자녀가 되게 하려는 사단의 계략이었던 것입니다.

그러나 주님은 나를 "하나님의 딸"이라는 더 강한 정체성을 심어 주셨습니다.

하나님의 사랑과 의가 나를 새롭게 하셨습니다.

사단은 물질, 명예, 율법주의, 이데올로기, 음욕,...세상의 모든 것을 이용해서 우리의 우상이 되려합니다.

그러나 우리는 담대하게 세상을 향해 선포합니다.

"우리가 우리의 능력과 의를 믿고 기도하는 것이 아니라, 하나님의 의와 긍률하심을 믿어 승리를 얻게 하시는 여호와 하나님은 오직 한 분, 나의 전능하신 하나님 아버지이시다!!!"

The Mighty LORD is my Father God, who protects me from evil one!

During the reign of King Hezekiah, Assyria (in the region of modern-day Syria) sought to conquer Judah. They insulted the living, active Creator God and tried to drive a wedge of doubt between God and His people so they would no longer trust in the Lord.

​At that time, the prophet Isaiah praised the omnipotence of God and prayed that the Lord would hear the lies and insults of the wicked and bring judgment upon them.

​On our own journey of faith, Satan similarly attempts to disrupt our relationship with God in various ways.

In my case, during my teenage years, I suffered from the devil’s persistent whisper: "You might not even be a child of God!"

​I was in so much torment back then that I even thought, “I wish I weren’t a Christian at all...” It was a scheme of Satan to shake my identity, destroy me, and make me a child of the devil.

​However, the Lord instilled in me an even stronger identity as a "daughter of God." God's love and righteousness made me new.

Satan uses everything in this world—wealth, money, honor, legalism, ideologies, lusts, sexual immortality more—to make himself our idol.

But we boldly declare to the world:

​"We do not pray trusting in our own ability or righteousness, but trusting in God's righteousness and mercy!

The Lord God who gives us victory is the One and only Almighty God, my Father!"

​Amen!
