"내가 기둥으로 세운 이 돌은 하나님의 전이 될 것이며, 내게 주신 모든 것들에서 십의 일조를 반듯이 주께 드리겠나이다."

창세기 28:22

아멘!

야곱이 형의 분노를 피해 도망하여 할아버지 아브라함의 고향 하란으로 향하던 밤중에 꿈에서 하나님의 축복을 받습니다.

그 자리를 벧엘이라 부르고 제단을 쌓고 하나님의 전이 될 것과 십일조를 약속합니다.

벧엘;

Bethel, בֵּית־אֵל : 하나님의 임재가 있는 하나님의 집으로 세상과 구별된 거룩한 집을 의미합니다.

그리고 벧엘이 속해 있던 성의 원래 이름이 Luz라고 성경은 콕 집어 말씀하십니다.(28:19)

여기서 하나님의 언어가 완벽하게 그 뜻을 우리로 깨닫게 하십니다.

루스는 "분리되다"의 의미를 담습니다.

하나님의 전은 세상구조와 정책으로 부터 분리됨!

십일조는 세상의 경제 원리로 부터 분리됨!

하나님의 나라를 선포하신 예수님 역시 세상으로 부터 분리될 것을 말씀하셨습니다.

그래서 예수님을 사랑하는 자는 세상의 핍박과 미움을 받게 되는 원리입니다.

Where your treasure is, there your heart is also.

During the night, while fleeing from his brother's wrath toward his grandfather Abraham's hometown of Haran, Jacob receives God's blessing in a dream.

He names the place Bethel, builds an altar, promises it will become the house of God, and pledges to offer tithes.

Bethel, בֵּית־אֵל: It signifies the house of God where His presence dwells, a holy house set apart from the world.

Furthermore, the Bible explicitly states that the original name of the city to which Bethel belonged was Luz (28:19).

Here, God's language perfectly enables us to understand its meaning.

Luz carries the meaning of "to be separated."

The house of God is separated from the structures and policies of the world!

Tithing is separated from the economic principles of the world!

Jesus, who proclaimed the Kingdom of God, also spoke of being separated from the world.

Therefore, it is the principle that those who love Jesus will receive persecution and hatred from the world.
